FAQ

WHAT IS NEW MEDIA ART?

New media art is produced and designed by means of digital electronic technologies.
The clarity of each fine art archival print is extremely high resolution, very close to the the original art. The options of digital art brushes are numerous and the ability to create and save my own original painting is out of this world fun, expanding my ability to share my vision with you to the max!
After years of experimenting with new media digital painting, it has become my preference by far.
I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do!

WHY NOT OFFER YOUR ART FRAMED?

WHAT IS INK JET TECHNOLOGY AND WHY DO YOU USE IT?

Today’s printing options have grown.
Ink jet technology recreates an image by propelling droplets of pigment based ink that apply precisely producing extremely high resolution and quality.

The use of top-quality materials to produce archival fine art, high resolution giclee prints, in this case means ph- neutral canvas and paper made in North America or Europe It also means OEM inks, not compatible inks, or solvent / UV inks. And there’s more in the mix: thick and sturdy stretchers made of domestic wood.
All of this comes together to produce a stunning reproduction of the original work of art.

FURTHER DETAILS

PRINT-Printed with ink jet technology, extremely high resolution, on stunning, archival, giclee  fine art prints- offered on three formats-

CANVAS- My standard and preference, is to offer satin finish canvas. (If you prefer a glossy finish-contact us first.) The benefits from our satin finished canvas is: high saturation, high contrast, no reflections, archival, no cracks.

STRETCHED GALLERY WRAPPED CANVAS-WE use jointed pine wood for stretcher bars. Gallery wrapped canvases come to you ready to hang.

ROLLED CANVAS-Is an unstretched canvas print with additional border depending on size and your preference . Rolled canvas prints are often,  more affordable, easier to ship in those extra large custom sizes and allow the collector to decide on the framing or stretching edge depth for their space.

FINE ART PAPER-Textured watercolor fine art paper is an archival, ph-neutral,OBA -free. thick and gorgeous 400GSM medium, made by Strathmore. The special top coating of this paper gives it unique precision, contrast and color saturation for a matte medium. It is also much more resistant to water spills than most fine art papers.

DO YOU STILL OFFER ORIGINAL ACRYLIC AND OIL PAINTINGS ON CANVAS BY REQUEST?

Yes, by request I  am happy to  paint for you on canvas if that is your preference.

However, I sell very few prints from my original paintings produced with oil or acrylic on canvas because the results do not compare to the extremely high resolution quality of archival prints produced from my new media paintings. The results achieved through ink jet technology are simply much more crisp and true with digital art and brushes. The shadows from acrylic or oil on canvas muddy in reproduction comparatively. My customers seem to agree!

Return/Cancellation policies

You have 24 hours to cancel any order-after that period of time the image is sent to the printers and can not be cancelled.

All of my archival limited edition prints are final sale as they are newly printed fresh for the collector, then hand signed and numbered by me for you to treasure.

I tried it and found the shipping process is not always friendly to framed art, no matter how you crate it.
Art is meant to be cherished, collected. My background as an interior designer also reminds me how important it is to thoughtfully prepare a work of art for the space it will be hung; frames, matting, all matter and can make or break the presentation. Generic frame offerings do not do justice to a collectors own gallery setting whether a wall at home, office or in a commercial space.
All of my customers are invited to request my suggestions on framing. I encourage you to send a photo of your wall where the art will hang. I can provide you with a mock up of the art framed in your room with my suggestions, at no charge to you.
